Welcome to the new 30th Ward Republican Organization web site.  My name is Robert J. Foss and I am your Committeeman.  Please feel free to visit this site as often as you like.  We will keep the site updated with information for you, the Citizen of the 30th Ward.   We also invite all our fellow Republicans to stop by and visit with us.  On this site we will provide you with up to date information regarding the Republican Party of Chicago, Cook County, and other happenings around the 30th Ward as well as the City of Chicago.

OUR 30th WARD

 The 30th Ward is a very diverse community.  We have many nationalities, and religions living, working, and playing together to make our Ward one of the greatest in our fine city. 

Eloise Gerson Elected Chairman of the Chicago Republican Party

   Every four years the City Committeemen convene to elect a new city Chairman for the Republican Party.  On March 5th, 2008 the Republican Committeemen met and Elected Eloise Gerson (Committeeman of the 42nd Ward) our new Chairman.    We in the 30th Ward congratulate Ms. Gerson and wish her the best as she takes on this thankless job.  

    Congratulations also go out to the following Committeemen who were appointed by Chairman Gerson to serve on her Board: Executive Director - John Blessing,   Deputy Chairman - Committeemen Doug Glick and Percy Coleman,  Secretary - Committeeman Jim Fuchs, Treasurer - Committeeman Brian Swift, Sargeant at Arms - Committeeman ROBERT J. FOSS, and Liason to the Cook County GOP - Committeeman Frank Capuzi.

     This new staff together with all the energetic Republican Committeemen elected; give our NEW Republican Party a real chance to make an impression on our great city. 

Election Cycle for Judges of Election Almost Over

       The election cycle for all Judges of Election ends April 30th.  All current Judges of election will be recieving their applications from our office within the next two months.  Anyone who is not a Judge of Election but would like to be one may contact the 30th Ward Republican Org. at 773-680-4535. The base salary for judges for the day is $120; but, if a judge goes for training they can make an additional $50, as well if a Judge is designated a cell phone judge for the precinct they will be given an extra $25.  Key Judges who open the polling places will be given an extra $25 and both the Republican and Democratic Judges returning the equipment at the end of Election Day will be given an additional $25.
